Description: This unique Carl deGraaf pottery box is a vibrant green color and features a pyramid-shaped design. The lid comes off for easy storage and storage. The artist, based in Kentucky, signed the piece by incising his name into the clay on the bottom of the piece, as well as the year. The box is handmade and made with clay using a pottery production technique. The box is not an antique and was manufactured in 2009. It is an original piece and not a licensed reproduction. The box measures 12.25 inches in height and is part of the Art Deco style. It is decorated with a solid pattern and features a glossy finish. The box is perfect for storing small items or simply displayed as a unique piece of art. deGraaf even glazed the inside of this piece, making it unique in using it as a storage box. The lid and bottom have a wavy connection, which is cool. Difficult to get that wrong when placing the lid on the base. No known defects other than those that occurred during production (none noted). The artist added cushion tabs on the bottom to protect furniture. Height is 12 1/4" and base is 7" square. Always stored in a non-smoking environment.
