Description: Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 58mm f2 Lens Red T 12 Blade M42 w\ Original Metal Cap The M42 mount is compatible with a wide range of cameras. This lens comes with hard to find ORIGINAL matching metal front screw-on cap. Serial No. 3540585 was manufactured from 1952 to 1955. This lens is in overall nice condition. Exterior with minor nicks and scuffs commensurate with its age. The focusing and aperture ring movements are both very smooth. Front lens with no scratches and appears in very nice condition, looks like small amount of dust inside and rear lens with no scratches shows a few vintage Zeiss trademark air bubble points and minor haze. A lens of this quality should only be professionally cleaned. See pictures. Will ship insured.
