Translated from the Spanish by Lucia Graves. Hand signed by the author in black felt pen at the title page and inscribed 'For Lisa'. In near fine unread condition, no ownership inscriptions, no spine creasing, light bumping to front corners, very light general wear, creasing to first page which is a note from the publisher. Although badged as the US first edition/printed in the USA, the publishers (Doubleday) also have offices in Toronto and the rear panel of this ARC quotes the planned release date of the book in Canada rather than the US. ** A very uncommon signed ARC from this highly collectable author ** In an abandoned mansion at the heart of Barcelona, a young man - David Martin - makes his living by writing sensationalist novels under a pseudonym.
