Description: Carol Rama (April 17, 1918 - Turin, September 25, 2015) was an Italian painter. She was a figure of the Italian avant-garde and known for her provocative and irreverent erotic works. She was awarded the San Luca Academy Prize in 2010. In 2003 she received the Golden Lion of the Venice Biennale for her career. She passed away on September 25, 2015 at the age of 97.
