Description: - REAR OF FRAME HAS ORIGINAL RECEIPT ATTACHED. (In addition to the etching, the buyer also paid $15 for a yellow Paris print reproduction). (PHOTO 8) The Coke cap covers the name. - FRAME MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 17.75" WIDE BY 14.5" HEIGHT (PHOTO 11 & 12). OPENING IN MAT MEASURES 11.5" WIDE BY 8.5" TALL. (PHOTO 9 & 10) - THE PRINT IS TITLED "YESTERDAY'S DELICATESSE" (PHOTO 4) WAS COMPLETED IN 1981 (PHOTO 3) AND IS AN ARTIST'S PROOF (PHOTO 5) - THE FRAME HAS SOME SURFACE CHIPPING AND WOULD DO WELL WITH SMALL TOUCHUPS OF GOLD PAINT. There is no need to replace the frame but the touching up would help. (PHOTO 1 & 13-16) - THE PRINT SHOWS LIGHT AGE RELATED PAPER TONING. ETCHING HAS NOT BEEN VIEWED OUT OF THE FRAME. - CONDITION OF THE PRINT ITSELF APPEARS EXCELLENT. THERE IS LIKELY SOME PAPER TONING AND I AM PRETTY CERTAIN THAT IF YOU REMOVED THE MAT, YOU WOULD SEE DIFFERENT SHADES OF PAPER TONING BETWEEN WHAT WAS EXPOSED TO LIGHT AND WHAT WAS NOT. -THERE ARE MINOR SHAVINGS FROM WHERE THE MAT WAS CUT UNDER THE GLASS, WHICH KIND OF SUCKS. (PHOTO 3) - IF I INTENDED TO RETAIN THIS, I WOULD HAVE TO OPEN IT AND CLEAN IT UP. AS THE RECEIPT ON THE REAR APPEARS TO BE TAPED DOWN ONLY, YOU COULD REPLACE THE PAPER AFTER CLEANING THE DUST AND INNER GLASS SURFACE WITHOUT LOSING THE RECEIPT. Title is "Yesterday's Delicatesse" or "Yesterday's Delicacy" I LOVE THE FINE DETAILS OF HER ETCHING. Many of the photos are repetitive but are there simply to provide details. CAROL TRAVERS LUMMUS: The now 86-year-old artist, who spent most of her years on Cape Cod, has produced well over 300 editions since 1974, when she purchased her first etching press. Not much has changed in her printing process — she dips copper plate into a Dutch Mordant bath, to provide the field she needs to create the elements of her complex images. She has, to some of her etchings, added color, achieving a result called intaglio prints. She attended the Massachusetts College of Art, and the University Of Geneva. Shipping will exceed four pounds. Shipping prices almost double once one dimension exceeds 22 inches and I can keep it under that length. Piece will be safely packaged. I take so many photos so that you may see something I missed. PLEASE USE ZOOM FUNCTION ON ALL PHOTOS AS THEY ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. gdncitychauction
