It had been a watershed year for this small college, owned by Charlotte Memorial Hospital / Carolinas Medical Center/ Carolinas HealthCare System, Atrium HealthCare. The tiny CMHA School of Nursing had grown into a multi-program, SACS accredited 2 year college and had changed its name to Carolinas College of Health Sciences to better reflect its mission and programs. It was on its way to becoming one of the most selective and successful 2-year schools in the country. Carolinas HealthCare System had reopened its school of nursing just a few years earlier, after 25 years of having no centralized focus on undergraduate education. Just a few classes had been admitted to the new school when this yearbook was produced. It contains staff, administration, board, and faculty portrait photos; individual and candid photos of students, and photos of the physical college and of its clinical facilities.
