Each ball-bearing roller assembly can be positioned anywhere around the ring, and adjusted along multiple planes for a wide range of lathe sizes and part diameters. The 2-piece clam shell design quickly swings open, providing easy access when mounting or removing turnings, or when sanding or performing other secondary operations. With the larger ring section removed, the remaining smaller section becomes a bowl rest, providing solid support behind the work piece, yet fully exposing the opposite side of the piece for turning.
