This pair of earrings has been designed by Jean Dinh Van for the jewelry house of Cartier. Rare prototype and only one pair crafted in 18 karats yellow gold and .850/.999 platinum. They are suited at the reverse, with adjustable omega backs for fastening clips.Diamonds: The center platinum settings are mounted in a French pave setting, with 80 calibrated round brilliant cuts diamonds, 3.04 carats, E/F color, VS-1 clarity.Weight: 19.95 grams, (12.79 Dwt).Measures: 17 mm by 20 mm (0.67 x 0.79 Inches).Hallmarks: Stamped with the maker's mark, the serial numbers, the assay marks for the gold and platinum and signed, "CARTIER 18KT IRID PLAT 84095".Jean Dinh Van He is a French designer that began is successful career in the 1960 designing for the French jewelry houses of Cartier and Pierre Cardin. In 1972 he started his own company and the followed years his revolutionary designs and style caught on quickly and launched him to the forefront of the jewelry and fashion world. All his designs are very geometric and modern, both, his original vintage pieces created for Cartier and the contemporary creations are highly collectible.
