Description: Vintage Carvalhu Copa Collection Brutalist Brazil Bracelet Quartz 1970's Oh my! This bracelet is an eye catching conversation piece! It is a beautiful piece! Designed by Ernandes Carvalhu, for the Copa Collection. Carvalhu's studio was located in Rio Brazil, the bracelet was made in the late 1970's to early 1980's. It is a hard to find, rare bracelet in a silver metal presentation, as most of these were made in brass. In a Brutalist design, it has a wild freeform with raw natural stone crystals. It features a natural Citrine and a rare Ametrine/Amethyst-Citrine Quartz. Note, one of the stones was missing and was replaced. To match the citrine and knowing amethysts were also used in these designs, the missing stone was replaced with an Ametrine stone which is both an Amethyst and Citrine quartz. The Ametrine has a transition of these colors. Amertrine stones are also rare as there is only one commercial source in Bolivia, so the supply is very limited. Made with quality materials and fine craftsmanship, it is signed on the outside of the bracelet on one side; Copa Collection, and a Made in Brazil sticker on the inside. The bracelet has normal signs of wear, overall the bracelet is in very good condition. Have been able to squeeze it slightly to adjust it to fit a wrist, however, prefer not to alter the piece. The bracelet is approximately 6.5 to 6.75 inches on one side and 7.25 inches on the flared part. Note, the bracelet is reflecting items in the pictures.
