During the COVIDoutbreak, the CDC performed testing on many models of 3M disposable masks and found no measurable decrease in effectiveness when they'd been stored beyond the 5-year window that 3M was pushing at the beginning of mask mandates. All that to say this: 3M recommends that masks follow a 5-year shelf life but CDC data has found no loss in function when masks have been stored for longer periods. Their summary recommendation was to inspect for signs of wear or material degradation. As far as these masks go, they have been thoroughly inspected and there are no indications of degradation to the rubber straps or nose bridge materials but that's the extent of what we can guarantee.
