Fruit: large; round; skin dark purple with waxy bloom; flesh is very firm; outstanding flavor - sweet, juicy but still firm when fully ripe with very little tartness at skin and pit. In central California ripens 7-10 days before Friar. Tree: very vigorous; very productive; not as hardy as Friar; intermediate and spreading. Good cultivar for home planting. Hardy to USDA Zones 6-9. Bloom Season: Early. Harvest Season: Midseason.
