Description: This is a Rare shaped Celery Vase.This is from c.1820-1870 for age range. I would say either Cut Flint glass or Early Brilliant period- it has the quality of Early Brilliant period glass with that long resonating hum of Flint glass. I have seen similar made early pieces by Dorflinger. Also late Flint pieces like that of Pittsburgh area companies or Boston & Sandwich.It is all blown glass & hand cut. There is an engraved Roses and Clovers ring around the top, elongated Oval punty lines on the body. The stem is fluted and bubble hollow inside. Star cut thick base to finish it off. Exquisite piece.Measure: 10-1/4" tall by 6" wide. It has a 3-3/4" wide top rim opening. Condition: This is 0ver 100 years old- but for the age this one is in pretty good condition. I see no chips or cracks. The bottom of the base may have scratches and scuffs which is common patina.
