Description: This is a great New York City scene. The artist's view from Central Park South takes in iconic New York landmarks. The General Motor's Building, The Plaza Hotel are visible over the Grand Army Plaza. The Sherry Netherland Hotel and Bergdoff Goodman building are also in view. Regrettably, while this is signed and dated, its mostly illegible making the artist unknown to me. I'm assuming that date is 1968.This is based upon these facts. My father worked for GM at the time the building was being built and became responsible for coordinating the move into the finished building by several GM business units that were scattered around the city, now to be consolidated in the new structure. Records indicate the building was constructed during the period 1964-1968. The print is in like "new" condition, having been professionally matted, mounted and framed, note the wood backing. It would have been nice to have the provenance explained on the reverse but sadly it was not. Lovely memento for anyone who lived, worked or visited this famous area. It will be very well packaged and strongly recommend it be shipped with insurance. Thanks for looking.
