The Terra Cotta clay Made by JBK Pottery is very porous and will absorb oils and diffuse slowly over the next couple of days. Depending on several factors such as humidity, heat, and size of space the scent can last between 1-4 days. Ideally 5-6 drops will give you best results. The first use may need a few extra drops of essential oil. On subsequent uses, you can decrease drops of essential oils or add oils less frequently.
