Description: These foams are for the Flat Attach cones Cerwin vega used on the D9 (152WR woofer) and many older models. Cerwin (actually Heppner, the company that made the woofers for Cerwin Vega) made uncountable design changes. Many woofers came in slightly different variations, different cones, different foams, etc. If you've refoamed a lot of Cerwins, you've noticed that foams come in a pretty wide variety, and they rarely fit exactly right. So, getting the "right" foams is complicated. The BEST way, is by measurements. Not application. But determining which foams will fit YOUR woofers best (whether they are my foams or someone else's) is important. So measurements are the best way. But adding to the difficulty, is that even on the same run of foams, you can get variences. depending on when they were made, how they were stacked, whether the foam comes off the top of a pile, or the bottom, can actually change the dimensions a little, including the inside diameter. And cerwin flat attach cones are not all identical, and there is no interchange guide, or information from long ago, saying what cone was used on what, and when. NOW, throw into the mix, the glue. The 3035 clear solvent based glue many of us use, and I supply with this kit, shrinks the foam up a bit the second it's applied, changing the ID dimension. But if you're using the white tacky glue, it doesn't shrink the foam. (by the way, if you would prefer the white tacky glue, just message me and I'll pack that one for you instead) So, there's a LOT of variables when refoaming, especially these flat attach cones. Fitment is important, but it's unfortunately it's simply complicated. I did my best to get these foams to the specific dimensions that work best on most flat attach cones. What I found on other foams for these woofers (after decades of refoaming with the other kits out there) , is that the ID on other guys' foams was a hair big, the inner lip was a hair thin, and the outer lip was pretty stingy. So, on MY foams, the ID is a hair smaller than most other foams for these woofers, the inner glue lip is a hair wider. Plus, the outer glue lip is wider, more like original. So the ID on these are about 11 3/4, just over. And are fitting great on the woofers I have here for refoaming. But as I detailed, there are a lot of variences, so if you buy these, and find that they aren't the best fit for your woofers, you can certainly return them, no question. They are of course top quality red over gray foams, like you would expect. If you want larger quantity, different glue, or any special package put together for you, I'm more than happy to do it. 20+ years on ebay, selling mostly Cerwin Vega speaker stuff, and 100% positive feedback. Will be packed carefully and shipped promptly. Thanks!!
