Description: This owl was carved from a scotch pine log using a chainsaw and powertools. It has been sealed with a flat oil based spar urethane and can be kept indoors or outdoors. If kept outdoors, I highly recommend keeping it out of direct sunlight as the excessive heat and harsh uv lights are very hard on wood carvings. A cool shaded location is the best place to keep a wood carving. The dimensions are roughly: 19" tall, 11" wide, 11" thick. As can be seen in the photos, the carving does have some cracks in it. As this carving ages some more cracking may occur. Cracking is a natural and common occurrence in wood carvings.
