Description: Information on Champion Saws history as copied from F. Heinemann History. The legacy of quality dates back prior to 1905 when the company was founded in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania by Frederick Heinemann as the Champion Saw & Gas Engine Company. In 1917, the Company relocated to it's current address in Canton, Ohio and the name was change to The F. Heinemann Saw & Mfg. Co. The business continued to grow and in 1933 purchased the Canton Saw Co. which was organized in 1871. So, my best guess is this saw was manufactured between 1905 and 1917. Overall very good, used condition especially considering its age. Wooden handle appears chip-, crack-, and damage-free. Blade has been cleaned and shows signs of expected surface corrosion; no missing teeth and they seem sharp and set properly. 12-inch, 8-ppi blade, stamped "CHAMPION" in center. Measures approx. 16" overall; blade 12" long. Please see photos, I try and capture the good, the bad, and the ugly with close-up images. FREE shipping via USPS or UPS depending upon your location. Reasonable offers considered and appreciated. Thanks for looking, reading, and buying!
