Description: The Western Church has a rich tradition of chanting the Divine Office. The books containing the various tones and chants were the Antiphonaries and the Nocturnals. In this volume, I have taken the texts in the Anglican Breviary for the antiphons, hymns, and short responds at the hours of Prime and Compline and set them to the corresponding chants from the traditional books with some alteration to accommodate the English. It is my hope that this will aid those who pray the Anglican Breviary in growing in the love for the musical patrimony of the Western Church.
