Description: White Tiger Charles Fracè The first White Tiger recorded in history was captured by the Maharaja of Rewa in Northern India in 1951; he was named Mohan. All White Tigers in captivity are descended from him. When Mohan was first mated with a normal Bengal female, all cubs were born orange. Then he was mated with one of the females from that litter with one of the resulting cubs born white. Later in a second litter of three, the mother gave birth to two white and one orange cub. And so, the line began. My studies for the White Tiger were done at the Cincinnati Zoo.
