Cheap Trick was billed as the opener for the Smashing Pumpkins. The show had quite a bit of controversy behind it as it was supposed to be a Benefit Charity Concert held at Grant Park in Chicago which was approved and then the approval was rescinded by Mayor Daley. Then the show was moved and slated to take place at Soldier Field, but when ticket sales stalled around 20,000 the venue was then moved by the promoters to the Tweeter Center in Tinley Park, IL. The photo was signed prior to the show and the drumstick as well as the guitar picks were from the actual show. ABOUT ME: I have worked in the live / touring music business since 1986... over 34 years now. In that time I have amassed a collection of items like none other and am now offering a small portion of my items to the public.
