Hand-crafted Ashanti chess set with 32 chess pieces and a 12" leather-covered board with blue plaid fabric backing. Pieces are handcrafted and unique in shape and characteristic. The metal pieces are crudely formed, hand-painted, and show typical imperfections and casting defects. Some may be brass. A magnet stuck to most in varying degress, but not all. They measure approximately 1.5" to 2.25" with 3/4" square bases. Bought in West African country of Ghana by a relative. Listed separately are more Ghanaian items - all from same individual. Check photos carefully. CONDITION: I don't know much about chess, but there seems to be a missing pawn in the gold ones and two queens. Examine photos closely. Combined shipping is available when items pack well together, are paid with one payment transaction and shipped to one address. Surplus postage over $1 will be refunded. Shipping charge includes a small package/handling fee. To speed delivery and make tracking immediately available, I hand-deliver packages to the post office by next postal business day and wait for the package to be scanned into the USPS system.
