In 1963 the manger of The Playhouse Cafe Tony Leonardi went before The Warren Commission (President's Commission on the Assassination of President Kennedy). Mr. Leonardi made a statement mentioning that for over twenty five years he had been in the strip club night club business in Chicago. He knew almost every owner and male employees in the business and Jack Ruby was not associated in the night club business in any way in Chicago.
