Heralds are advertising flyers that are typically placed at theaters, and sometimes included in Playbills and Programs. The single sheet herald is for Marcel Carne's "Children Of Paradise", playing at the Paris Theatre, in New York City. The French film is a romantic drama that was produced under war conditions from 1943 through 1945, in both Vichy France and Occupied France. The Paris Theatre is known for screening art and foreign language films (usually French), and I believe that this herald dates to when the film played at that theatre in the 1970's. The souvenir herald is in great, vintage condition, with no rips, tears, writing or damage, and minimal soiling and wear.
