The Uyghurs or Uygurs are a Turkic ethnic group living in Central and East Asia. Titled in ink below the image "Marchand Mantchoud d'Oigour" and on the reverse in ink as well. Original albumen carte de visite photograph almost certain by Emile Ninaud, Blagoveshchensk and Amour. The same table cover has been used in another cdv of 3 employees photographed by Ninaud (I'll produce the scan for you if are interested). Size ab. 104 x 65 mm / 4,1 x 2,6 inches (card). Mounted on photographers cardboard without identification. Condition is - apart from some mild discoloring and some mild staining - very good. Original is a bit brighter toned. Please see scans.
