From the packaging, these were handblocked and handbrushed in Taiwan. Each sheet is 12" x 12" There are 12 sheets, 10 of which are dark, but two of them have faded somewhat, but still good (see pictures). From the packaging: This traditional gold paper reproduction is an ancient token used by the Chinese. It is burned at home or temple to show appreciation to the gods for protection and favors granted. It is also considered a kind of currency used in that other world inhabited by the gods. The entire picture represents the old Chinese concept of the best life on earth. Namely: great wealth, long life, and a large family of many descendents. Some suggest uses: framed as a print, attached to window panes or screens, a gift box accent and a good luck greet card!
