In the classic version of the trick, a knit ball vanishes and appears under the metal cup, and finally, a large ball appears under the cup, completely filling it! Jaws drop when they see this... This is a custom-made brass chop cup, made from an ornate brass goblet/cup -- the cup has a floral vine design cut into the brass. The bottom of the cup is black enamel, and has the necessary concave feature to allow a ball to rest on the upside down cup. (I took photos from a few different angles and a couple without flash, in an effort to let you see the detail as much as possible) This cup is a nice large size -- compare to the deck of poker cards in the last photo. (NOTE: cards are not included or needed; they are just shown so you know how big this mug is!) The mouth of the mug will take a large final load for when you want to bring your chop routine to a surprising climax.Provided is a tennis ball final load, but anything that will fit into the cup could be used, of course -- the supplied large load ball has a nice property in that it can be gently loaded into the cup and will hold in place until dislodged by placing the cup down. So makes for an extra deceptive final load. The ball set supplied with this cup is very fancy, knit from a sort of metallic yarn/material.The ornate design of this cup lends itself to a number of different patter approaches -- an antique family heirloom, a magical goblet from the middle ages, etc. And of course, it is a cup design that will differentiate you from any other magician performing the chop cup with one of the more "standard" silver metal cups.Could not find any cup similar to this one for sale anywhere, but I will sell this cup at the price I would pay for it. (And if nobody snatches it up, then I will!)
