Description: Chuck Solberg Wood Fired & Salt Glazed Vase. The vase measures appx 6" tall x 6" wide (at its widest part) with a 4" opening. It is in very good condition with no cracks or repairs. Please see all pictures as they serve as part of the description and condition. 'This pot was fired in a sagger filled with sawdust, charcoal, fruit rinds, barks and other combustibles. When the temp. reaches 1700 degrees, a few cups of salt mixed with copper carbonate are thrown into the kiln. The combination of salt vapors and fumes form vivid surface colors and patterns.'
