Description: This uncirculated medallion features the Chula Vista, California Yacht Club's Centennial Celebration of 1889-1989. This copper colored dual sided coin features C.W. Lawrence and the historic Revenue Cutter. This would be a great addition to any collection of boat and ship collectibles. Sadly the Chula Vista Yacht club closed in 2022. The U.S. Revenue Cutter Service and C.W. Lawrence was the first cutter sent to the West Coast to enforce laws on the high seas. And, as the first cutter to enter the Pacific Ocean, Lawrence established the Coast Guards area of responsibility in the Pacific.
