Description: Offered here is an engraving from a large series of prints after paintings included in the famed collection in Galerie du Palais Royale in Paris. The series of engravings was divided according to the geographical school of painters on which the works were based. This particular example, from the "Ecole Venitienne", was engraved by Antoine Louis Romanet (1748-1807) after a self-portrait by the Italian painter, Titien. The dimensions of this engraving are: height 16 1/2 inches (platemark), 20 1/4 inches (sheet); width 12 inches (platemark), 13 inches (sheet). There is an example of this engraving in the online collection of the British Museum at No. 1855,0609.401. This print is from my personal collection which I am beginning to sell off. Unless noted otherwise in the description, the prints, art and other items that I sell are not "reproductions". For example, offered maps are of the period. Please check my other listings for additional items of interest. I will combine shipping.
