Carefully packed for shipment to the buyer. ------- Historical information : Eureka, California photographer Amasa Plummer Flaglor was Humboldt County's premier photographer on the 1870s. Flaglor was born on Dec. 24, 1848 in New Brunswick, Canada , and arrived San Francisco , California in 1862. He worked for photographer William Shew from 1862 to 1869. In 1869 and 1870 he worked in partnership with several San Francisco photographers. In 1871 he became owner of Eureka Photograph Gallery ( formerly Tuttle & Johnson ), with branch galleries in Ferndale and Rohnerville. He operated a gallery in Jacksonville, Oregon in 1878, before returning to Eureka. In 1880 Flagor sold his Eureka gallery to his photography assistant, N.B. Strong. Flaglor returned to San Francisco , where he continued to make photographs through the mid 1880s. A. P. Flaglor died on March 2, 1918 at Decoto, Califonia.
