Description: This is a custom hollow handle survival knife by a custom maker named Grenier (I have researched the maker who I think is Canadian but can find no further information on him). It is a large knife with an 9” long, 1/4” thick , 1 1/2” wide blade. It has a 1 1/4” diameter hollow handle with screw off butt cap with embedded compass. The handle holds a small set of fishing tackle. The top of the knife has saw teeth. The brown leather sheath (presumably from the maker) has a stone pouch with sharpening stone. The front of the blade is inscribed: SGT S M MC AD/service number/7th Special Forces Gp./(ABN). The other side of the blade is inscribed : Grenier/84491. Even though a presentation knife it is high quality and apparently has been carried, and possibly used and sharpened. The back of the sheath has the soldier’s name and address as well as the year 1985. Overall excellent condition. It is very reminiscent of a Rambo “first Blood” knife. Email questions.
