(smooth bore) 69 Caliber Rifle Muskets and accessories turned over by Lt Silas Volk, E Company, 11th New Jersey to Lt Col John Schoonover, Sept 20, 1863 . The Ordnance Invoice is ink signed by Lt Volk. While most Union regiments in the Army of the Potomac were issued 58 caliber rifle muskets, the 11th NJ was still using the obsolete Model 1842 69 caliber Smoothbore Muskets until late in the War. 1p 8 x 11" ptd/ink with Ordnance Bomb logo on reverse.
