Description: Civil War Brogans - Natural Undyed Leather - Reenactment - Size 7 Officially known as the M1851 Jefferson Bootee, the simple but rugged "brogan" was the standard issue shoe for both US and CS forces during the Civil War. They have a medium rise upper with four eyelets for laces and a square toe. The uppers on our brogans are made rough side out like the originals. Oil for waterproofing may be applied to extend the life of the shoe.
