Description: What can I say about this piece? Well, unfortunately not much. This is the greatest estate auction piece I've found in quite a while. A true collector may be able to spot this piece, as I've hopefully added enough photographs to at least place this within a certain time period and location. Other sites I've seen this piece on (through a reverse image search) has this gorgeous stand listed for sale for thousands. In the various descriptions I've come across, I've seen: Wood: - Oak - Cherry - Mahogany Era: - American Civil War - Victorian Use: - Sword stand- Umbrella stand- "Hall stand" Hooks:- Brass "rosettes" The wooden bowl I've seen described as a drip pan of sorts, for wet umbrellas. This is about all I've been able to find on this piece, after an extensive search. For shipping this piece, I will remove the wooden basin by carefully turning the support hooks a quarter turn, which allows the bowl to detach from the tripod. The tripod will then fold up after that. I will add padding everything, including between the tripod legs so they move as little as possible. If you are the highest bidder and would like me to ship this in a different manner, please let me know.
