Description: For sale is Clannad's Macalla, originally released in 1985 on RCA Records. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks are the matrix numbers A-3/A-2, indicating that an early stamper was used to make this first edition. This was mastered at Townhouse Studios, London. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering and produce superior sound quality sought after by collectors and music lovers. I bought this used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. There is no original inner sleeve with this listing. The cover is graded as VG+ because of stress cracks along the spine, corner blunts, edge wear and ring wear. The spine has color loss from stress cracks and corner rubs. The vinyl is visually graded as Excellent because of sleeve marks and some smudges. It's play graded as VG because of surface noise most noticeable during the quiet sections and 3 ticks during the intro to "In A Lifetime". It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I bought it and still has a lot of life yet. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection.
