Description: Up for sale is a custom, hand made Tube Microphone Preamp by Michael Richardson in Detroit Michigan. This Preamp was purchased in the fall of 2008. It is a simple design. Input volume with two tone knobs. It's a great tool to place on pretty much anything. I used it to process vocals/acoustic guitars after they had been recorded to color the signal. If you are looking for a piece of equipment to modify and make your own, this a great platform to do that with. Again, everything is hand soldered and made my hand. Most of the parts are easy to find, replace and modify. I always wanted to modify it with a super hot output transformer. There is a "tweaker" knob for signal adjustments. This piece of equipment should go to somebody who understands analog equipment, wants to modify or wants a piece of super cool looking equipment. This item is great to look at and adds a great vibe to the control room. The tone is indicative to tube equipment. Warm, and full. This has a 12 pin RCA Compactron tube. I can not member exactly what model but I think its a 6U10 Tube.
