Description: Found in a family estate box, this very nice late 1950s Elgin 711 Arrow design 19-Jewel wristwatch Runs Well !With a new crystal and band, this watch would serve a new owner very well. Description - ca. 1958 Elgin 711 "Arrow" watch - 19-jewel movement - 10KT rolled gold plate bezel & stainless steel back - Brushed Silver Dial features: o Gold Arabic indices at 12- & 6-o'clock, o Gold Arrow indices at 3- & 9-o'clock, and o Incised gold indices elsewhere - Gold Arrow Hands for Hour, Minute & Seconds again reflect the Arrow theme. - "Featureless" Seconds Dial. Seconds Hand briefly partially eclipses the "6" numeral each minute. Clearly this was a very desirable present 65+ years ago. Condition: Only Cosmetic Issues - Case in VG-VG+ condition. No prominent tarnish, scratches, dings or damage - Runs Well & Strong. Stem sets Time properly. Keeps good time. - Dial has significant chip between near number "3". - Crystal needs replacement" Wear & damage @ 12-o'clock & @ 6-o'clock. On my desk over the course of several weeks, Three times I wound it fully and it ran properly keeping good time for more than a day each winding. This watch ran great for me.
