This is a Fabulous and Highly Decorative Ornate Two-Sided Historic Vintage Masonic "Pocket" or "Pen" Knife. With a luminescent Blue Background, both sides of the grip feature a decorative Gallery of the legendary symbols of Freemasonry, Trowel, Level, Square and Compass and Slipper. These designs look like silver. We do not know the exact year of manufacture, but 1930's to 1950's seems credible. It was made by the Empire Knife Company, which dates back to the 19th century. One blade is marked as "Empire Stainless" and the other blade by "Stainless". The knife is in very good vintage condition with only minor age wear, on the top of one side, there is a loss of some blue and some wear on other the top blue areas. In our view the losses are minor and insignificant when compared the overall beauty and rarity. After all, this is an old knife. The two blades open perfectly! It measures approximately 6 inches long when both blades are fully extended and is about 3 inches when the knife is closed. A nice, functional historic memento of American Freemasonry.
