Clive Brook + Lila Lee 1933 Clinton Williams Paramount Trading Card #16

Description: ABOUT THIS CARD: This is a rare one—this sale is for a vintage 1933 Clinton Williams "Scenes from Paramount Pictures" trading card, #16 Clive Brook and Lila Lee in promotion of "The Night of June 13." (Single panel with handwriting on back.) These Clinton Williams cards come out of Australia and were originally found in panels of three cards—the other two cards featured advertising for products called JelleX and Custoza Custard. The card being offered for sale here is just the single front panel picturing the film scene (I will have some full 3-panel cards available). The card is numbered on front but film stars are unidentified with blank spaces on back for the collector to write in who is pictured and what scene the movie is from. Thankfully, the Movie Card Website has a near complete checklist for these, so I was able to name the stars and film. Single panel trading card; sale is for the one card from what was a set of fifty; measures approximately 2-1/2" X 2-15/16 inches. CONDITION: Single panel card removed from two advertising panels; handwriting in pencil on back. Graces G or 3/10 with an area of paper residue at bottom edge on back; light diagonal creasing near both left corners; other general wear and soiling, including a speck on Brook's cheek, as shown. Scans show both sides of actual card for sale.
