The given name "MIG EATER" (Polish: Migoeater Eater) refers to the famous story of the destruction of an Iraqi aircraft during the initial period of the First Persian Gulf War in 1990. The set also includes two unique figures of British pilots captured by the Iraqis during the same conflict. After their release, the pilots were photographed with the "Mig Eater" plane. Our set brings together these two very different and extraordinary military stories. Panavia Tornados were variable wing multi-role combat aircraft used by the Royal Air Force (RAF) from the 1980s until 2019, when they were withdrawn from service.
