This lovely two-piece Pyrex set includes one casserole dish and its matching lid. The casserole bowl features a beautiful pink gooseberry pattern against a white milk glass background. Pyrex #427 1 1/2 pt casserole bowl corresponding lid, Pyrex #470-c ******COLLECTORS’ DREAM ITEM!!! *** Unique Collectors Qualities: The “P” from the Pyrex impression is missing! This may have occurred during the early production process of this design. Another quality I discovered is that it might be less dense than later productions. By tapping my nail on outside, the sound it gives off, is much lighter compared two other #472 casserole dishes I have. Upon some further online reading, I found that this could indicate that this dish was one of the first Pyrex casserole dishes ever manufactured! This original 1950-1960s Pyrex piece is handmade in the United States and is a true gem for any vintage kitchen collection. Care instructions advise hand washing only. Approximate Dimensions Bowl width (with handles) 7.5” Height 2.5” With lid: 3” Depth 2” Condition: well-loved though with vivid gooseberry print! Still has lots of luster.
