Description: Offered is a lovely INSCRIBED AND SIGNED photo of famous silent film and early talkies actress Colleen Moore. 5" x7" featuring Colleen in a sexy dancing flapper pose. Excellent condition, blank backed. Colleen Moore (1899-1988) took her first step into film stardom when she screen tested with D.W. Griffith in 1915 (interestingly, she had heterochromia--one brown eye and one blue eye but this was not a hinderance in the early black and white films). Her first credited appearance was in 1917 and by 1919 she had become a notable star. In her star years she was one of the most fashionable and highly paid actresses in Hollywood. She was a huge star in the silent era though half of her films, including her first talking role in 1929, are now lost. Moore famously adopted the "flapper bob" haircut that was first sported by the iconic Louise Brooks and the style for a time became a rage. After a hiatus from 1929 to 1933, she returned for four pictures and then retired. She was an astute investor and remained quite wealthy; she was also a noted collector of dolls and dollhouses, an exhibit of which has been on display in Chicago since the 1950s. GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC. SEE THE SCAN AND ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE CONTINUING.
