This variety is enigmatic; there would seem to be no conceivable reason to put a pellet in the English shield on the die, but it was clearly done. Perhaps the mint had some reason to mark the die which we are ignorant of today. almost VF, old collection tone. The variety apparently unpublished and presumably very rare. Spink 3217; ESC -
