Description: Dangle earrings on shepherd's hook wires with oxidized thingamabobs lapped over by doohickeys set with brown sapphire cabochons The brown sapphires replaced the original stones (two tired agates) and they were actually sold to me as black star sapphires, but they don't have much in the way of stars, at least none that I could tease out at any angle or under any light. They do have that cool shimmery silky look of black star sapphires, which is why I bought them. They're around 4mm each, low-dome and around 0.20 carats each. Their total drop, from the crook in the wire to the bottom, is 45mm (1-3/4"). Stamped "925" on the back; no maker's marks. 5.3 grams
