Description: This full-size, authentic Dodge hood and 1:18 diecast model of the 2001 #40 Coors Light-sponsored Winston Cup car were presented to the seller by Coors in appreciation for advertising work done for the brewery by the seller's ad agency. This work included designing the NASCAR entry's graphics. The seller is shown (next to Sterling Marlin) in the redacted photo of the presentation die cast model. This presentation piece also includes a copy of the seller's hand-drawn proposed design for the car's graphics (which the brewery chose to adopt) faxed to Coors on August 24, 2000. The hood was shipped to the seller directly from the Chip Ganassi race team (sole dent/bend occurred during that shipping) at Coors' request, and has only been displayed indoors over the years. Sharpie-rendered driver's autograph with car number is clear and legible as shown in the photo. Photos of the #40 Sterling Marlin car at speed and of Sterling Marlin are for reference only and not included in the sale. The hood is located near Holland, Michigan and can also be picked up there. Free delivery to the successful buyer within 100 miles of Holland. Crating and longer-distance shipping (calculated after purchase) will be split 50-50 between seller and purchaser. Diecast presentation piece will be shipped to the successful purchaser separately at seller's expense.
