Description: Pleased to offer a Gorgeous Copeland Garrett Serving Dish; Peach Rim; Lovely Hand Painted Floral of Purple Evening Primroses. In the Victorian era, all flowers had a meaning and the one for primrose was " I can't live without you." This is part of their botanical series from 1835-40. Whoever painted this dish was a wonder; it's absolutely delightful. The rim however has lost quite a bit of gilding and there are "skitters" on the peach color. I had a friend who has recently passed who would have considered this an easy touch-up and I would recommend that for this piece due to the majesty of the shape; the age, the condition and the perfection of the roses. It measures 10.6" by 8". Enjoy !!
