ASK ABOUT OUR LOCK TRADE IN PROGRAM CORBIN #1240 1/4 BRASS FACE MORTISE LOCK w/KEYS, 6 3/8" FACE, 2 3/4" BS (11113) Vintage, circa 1883-1905: Salvaged P.F. CORBIN mortise lock #1240 1/4, featured in their catalogs from about 1983 (See pic from 1885 catalog below). Push button entry mortise has been fully restored includes two keys. Works perfectly. It is reversible, let us know if you need it reversed and we can do that before shipping. FACEPLATE: Mortise lock has a heavy brass face plate, usual scratches acquuired over the last 100 years or so, but cleaned and polished! Has a length of 6 3/8" and a width of 1 1/16" and thickness of 1/8". BOX: The box measures 3 5/8" from the front edge of the brass faceplate to the back of the box. The box measures 4 1/8" top to bottom. BACKSET: Backset (the distance from the front edge of the face plate to the center of the knob post hole is 2 3/4". SCREWS: Screws are on 5 1/2" centers. DROP: The drop from the center of the knob post hole to the center of the top of the key slot is 2 1/2". KNOB POST or KNOB SHAFT: ``The lock accommodates a standard 5/16" split pivot knob post. REVERSIBILITY: The lock is reversible. KEY: The lock comes with two keys, they work perfectly. If you are simply replacing an existing lock identical to this one, you may already have everything you need. If, however you need a split knob post or a strikeplate or other accessories for this lock, please write us as we can add to this order before you end the auction or arrange for a special Buy It Now auction for you for the other items.
