Description: Cross Century 12K Gold Filled Ballpoint Pen in Cross Century 50th Anniversary Tin (Collectable #1) with manual. The 50th Anniversary Tin is version “Cross Century Collection #1” and features a photo print of the 1940’s signifying 1946 as the first year the Cross Century Pen was introduced, marking this seminal change in writing instrument technology. In 1946, more people owned a Cross Century Pen than owned TVs! Made in USA. The pen was tested at time of listing to be in working order and twists without issue. The pen has typical micro-scratches of a used item. On 5x magnification, you can see a deeper ~1mm scratch on the lower part of the barrel (see closeup photo). Also, a slight dent can be seen in bright light with a slight refraction of the light (see closeup photo). Pen has Cross brand, medium black ink installed and was tested to work. The long-term viability of the ink is unknown. See photo of ink test. The tin has some micro scratches and some dents (see closeup photos). This is a used, vintage item and is not new.
