First, Regal took the idea and sized it up to a much large box, so it can be seen for stand-up performances (though it can also work close-up). And it can hold large objects, not just cards. You can use it for currency, jumbo cards, etcSecond, Regal added some great extras -- like a cloth bag which holds the box and also makes invisible the action necessary for the change. Or an extra slotted lid for box, so you can use it to collect folded billets (and then change them secretly!)Third, Regal made the prop very high quality and beautiful -- it looks like a real desk box for stationary, etc, and so minimizes the suspicion that might otherwise surround the prop. Made from thick acrylic. The box can switch billets, cards, bills, etc. It can also be used to vanish or produce items. Though I think the best uses are for switching items. The switch is so clean and effective that your audience will not suspect anything. Because the box is clear on all sides and top --only the bottom is opaque-- the switched items seem to always be in sight. NOTE: dollar bill in the photo is just there so you can quickly judge the size of the box. It is NOT included. The box is approx. 8 inches by 5.5 inches.(There is a larger version of the Crystal Box available from Regal now, but I think this original version is the perfect size, and suitable for even large audiences). Regal covers handling and many uses on his online instruction video, which you can access with the URL provided with the product. Also included are some huge rubber bands, which can be used to further secure the box after an item has been put inside (and of course the bands, do not hinder the switching of that object at all)Regal still sells this item for $160, and seems like every seller I checked had it priced at that same price, (or a few had it higher!)
