Here we are offering a Cuban-made reproduction of a famous Cuban propaganda poster with an image of Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro (1926-2016). The poster was originally designed in 1962 -- when Cuba feared an attack from the United States -- and it was reprinted in Cuba in the past decade. This poster was designed in Havana by Cuban artist MARIO SANDOVAL for the Department of Revolutionary Orientation of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party. The striking graphic we are offering here – a second edition that was reprinted in Havana in the past decade – depicts Fidel Castro speaking at a rally with a Cuban flag aflutter. The poster quotes Castro as saying, "THIS FLAG, THIS SKY, THIS LAND -- WE WILL DEFEND IT AT ANY COST." The poster measures 25 1/2 x 18 1/2 inches. We expect this poster will be even more collectible in the aftermath of Fidel Castro's death in Havana on Nov. 25, 2016 at the age of 90.
